Every year, on the occasion of its International Congress, the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry organizes a Research Forum in memory of Professor Mario Martignoni.
The research forum was established in cooperation with the Italian Society of Prosthetic Odontostomatology and Implantoprosthesis (SIOPI), to promote clinical and technical research issues in the field of prosthodontics and related disciplines.
During the XXXIV International Congress (Bologna November 19th-21st 2015), the Research Forum-Martignoni Prize will host a clinical session dedicated to the topic of the Congress: the Tissue-Prosthetic Interface.
Colleagues are invited to participate in this clinical session and present cases where prosthetic implications are well documented.
Each researcher can present only one poster as the main author, but may appear as co-author in other posters. The material has to be original and cannot have ever been presented in other meetings or published.
The best poster, as judged by a dedicated commission, will receive an award of € 5,000. The official language of the competition is English. The deadline is September 30th, 2015.
Colleagues who intend to present the accepted poster have to be enrolled members of the congress, paying a fee € 150 (instead of € 450), plus € 50 for the poster exhibition. Authors under 30 years of age are exempt from the €50 for the poster exhibition. The first 5 authors under 30 years of age will have 2015 AIOP subscription free of charge.
The abstracts of the best three posters will be published in the International Journal of Prosthodontics, all the accepted poster will be published, in pdf format, on the AIOP website and on the International Poster Journal - Quintessence Publishing.

Communication of the acceptance of a research will be communicated by email and paper mail by October 20th, 2015.
All colleagues who intend to present an accepted poster must be enrolled members of the congress, paying a fee € 150,00 (instead of € 450,00), plus € 50,00 for the poster exhibition. Authors under 30 years of age are exempt from the € 50,00 fee for the poster exhibition. The best 5 authors under 30 years of age will receive a complimentary subscription to AIOP for the year 2016.
The abstracts of the best three posters will furthermore be published in the International Journal of Prosthodontics, and all accepted posters will be published, in pdf format, on the AIOP website and on the International Poster Journal - Quintessence Publishing.

Do not use a font size smaller than 10. Proofread your abstract carefully.
Be absolutely certain that all names are correct. Put an asterisk (*) after the name of the person presenting the paper. Asterisk only one name per abstract.
Institutions must follow the last author’s name and should be enclosed in parenthesis, followed by a period. Addresses may be abbreviated, omitting state or country where obvious.
Do not include illustrations. It is not acceptable to say that results will be presented and/or discussed.
An individual may submit only one abstract as first name and may present only one poster at the Meeting. His/her name, however, may appear as co-author on other posters.
Submission of an abstract carries with it the responsibility for the presenter to present the contents of the abstract in person. Requests to withdraw papers must be made in writing BY THE PRESENTER (requests from anyone else will not be accepted) and submitted to the Chairman of the Research Forum. After the program is printed, the paper may not be withdrawn. However, if, after this date, the presenter finds it impossible to present the paper, the presenter must send written notification with an explanation and the name of a substitute presenter.
The substitute should not already be presenting a paper on the program, and he/she should be a co-author listed on the abstract.
The abstract and the poster should be original (not previously presented or published).
All presenters must register for the meeting and pay the registration fee as AIOP Affiliated Member.

The maximum format of the poster or equivalent area within which to create a bristol board-supported presentation is 70 cm in width and 100 cm in height (2,5’ x 3,5’). Horizontal posters are not acceptable.

Authors and co-authors should adhere to the following procedure:

08:00 - 09:00 Poster mounting in the selected area for poster exhibition
09:00 - 16:00 Authors and co-authors must stand near their posters ready to answer the questions submitted by participants or members of the Scientific Committee (failure to comply will result in disqualification for the best poster presentation award)
